Abstract

In today's globalizing world, using information technologies, which are used in all areas of life, in foreign language teaching has now become a necessity rather than an option. Enabling learners, who frequently use information technologies in their daily lives, to benefit from these technologies while learning a foreign language will both have positive results on their learning and motivate them to learn (Birinci, 2020) The use of technology in teaching Turkish to foreigners has increased significantly in recent years. The use of technology enables students to take an active part in learning processes. In addition, the use of technology increases students' motivation to learn and makes the learning process more enjoyable. The use of technology allows teachers to offer more resources to their students and to make learning materials more diverse. With the development of technology, the use of the Internet has also become widespread. Among the Turkish teaching materials offered over the Internet, there are various activities for the development of grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. Students will use these materials at their own pace and in accordance with their level, and the process of improving their Turkish skills will be facilitated. While teaching language, digital materials are used as an important tool to teach Turkish to students more effectively. Digital materials include various materials that students can use while learning Turkish. These consist of various resources such as online language learning platforms, interactive games, videos, podcasts, digital dictionaries and Turkish learning applications. In this study, in which the qualitative research approach was adopted, information technologies and digital materials used in foreign language teaching were examined and brought together through literature review. and materials, and in this sense, it contributes to foreign language teaching.
